The Mafia Boss Thought A Maid’s Daughter Was Just A Poor Child — Until Her Old Doll Exposed The Crime That Haunted Him For Years.

PART 10

The ballroom glowed beneath crystal chandeliers. Genevieve entered wearing a silver gown. Silas Marchetti walked beside her, smiling.

Weston stood at the far end of the ballroom. Priya remained near the service entrance, watched by two plainclothes federal agents.

“My future son,” Silas said, opening his arms.

Weston did not move. “No.”

He faced the crowd. “For fifteen years, the Kade and Marchetti families have told this city that our power protected the people around us. We told ourselves fear created order. We were wrong.”

The projection screen lit up. Owen Osei appeared. The video played.

Silas’s face lost all color. Genevieve turned toward the nearest exit. Two federal agents blocked her path.

“You killed Odalys and Nadia,” Weston said.

“You are making a mistake.”

“My mistake was believing peace could be built on a marriage to your daughter.”

“I had nothing to do with that bombing,” Genevieve said.

“You knew about it.”

“I protected my family.”

Priya stepped forward. “My husband was someone’s family.”

“Your husband was a warehouse mechanic who put his nose where it did not belong,” Genevieve spat.

The words echoed through the silent ballroom.

“Thank you,” Weston said gently.

Genevieve realized too late the microphones were still on. Agents moved through the room. Paul Reyes was arrested near the terrace. Silas was placed in handcuffs.

“This city belongs to us!” Genevieve shouted.

“No. That was always the lie.”

“You think handing us over makes you a good man?”

“No.”

“Then what does it make you?”

“Finished.”
